The Hillsborough County Democratic Party produces a "slate card" of recommended Democratic candidates for each General Election. We distribute this by postal mail, e-mail, door-to-door canvassing, and tables outside many polling places.

We strive to provide Americans abroad a Democratic voice in our government and elect Democratic candidates by mobilizing the overseas vote. Florida’s Republican Governor and Legislature cancelled all Vote By Mail requests after the November, 2022 election. If you do not renew your Vote By Mail request after each general election, you will NOT receive a Vote By Mail ballot.

We strongly encourage every Democrat to request a Vote By Mail ballot, even if they plan to vote in person at an Early Voting location or a their polling place on Election Day. We collect respondents name, email address, and the other survey responses. We automatically capture the IP address of the system used in completing the survey. We collect this data to help and encourage Democrats to vote. We use the information provided for voter analysis and future contact. We may share this information with third parties who share our values. We may keep the provided data indefinitely in order to identify trends over time.

The data collected will initially be stored on our web server, and will then be shared with various committees of and persons with the Hillsborough County Democratic Executive Committee (HCDEC, also known as the Hillsborough County Democratic Party). Ours is a volunteer organization, and while we will generally restrict this information to volunteers actively participating in outreach efforts, we can make no guarantees about the security of the data provided. Volunteers are permitted and frequently do download data to their personal devices in the course of their work with HCDEC. Volunteers are advised that they are only authorized to use HCDEC data in conducting official business of HCDEC, but we have no control over individual volunteers’ systems, data storage practices, or security.
